1. Data We Don't Collect

Motionify is a client-side web application. We do not operate any backend servers that receive, process, or store your data.

• We do not collect your name, email, or identity
• We do not store any video, audio, or image files you upload
• We do not have access to your API keys
• We do not log your transcripts or generated content

2. API Keys

Motionify requires you to provide your own API keys (Google Gemini, Pexels) to function. These keys are:

• Stored locally in your browser's localStorage — never transmitted to our servers
• Sent directly from your browser to Google/Pexels APIs — we never act as an intermediary
• Fully under your control — you can delete them at any time by clearing your browser data

3. File Processing

All video, audio, and image files you upload are processed entirely within your browser or sent directly to third-party APIs:

• Video/Audio — Processed locally in your browser using Web APIs
• AI Generation — Sent directly from your browser to Google's Gemini API using your own API key
• Stock Media — Fetched directly from Pexels using your own API key

We never receive, store, or have access to these files.

4. Analytics

We use PostHog to collect anonymous usage analytics. This helps us understand how people use Motionify and improve the experience. PostHog may collect:

• Page views and button clicks (anonymously)
• Browser type and screen size
• General geographic region (country-level only)

PostHog does not collect your API keys, file contents, or any personal information.

5. Local Storage

Motionify uses your browser's localStorage and IndexedDB to save:

• API keys (Gemini, Pexels)
• User preferences (model selection, settings)
• Saved projects (HTML, layout config, subtitles)
• Desktop waitlist emails (stored locally, not transmitted)

All of this data lives exclusively on your device. Clearing your browser data removes it permanently.

6. Third-Party Services

When you use Motionify, your browser communicates directly with:

• Google Gemini API — for AI content generation and transcription (Google AI Terms)
• Pexels API — for stock video/photo search (Pexels Terms)
• PostHog — for anonymous analytics (PostHog Privacy)

7. Changes

We may update this policy as Motionify evolves. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
